Sweet Bertha!

I´ve mentioned Donna Wilson in my blog before; her pillows and blankets have been among my favorite products for a long time. She´s also designing furniture, and her latest products “Bertha” cabinet, sofa and armchair are done in collaboration with British company SCP and the Shorefast Foundation on Fogo Island, Newfoundland. Her patterned fabric works great as furniture textiles and rugs, and the playful cabinet is so cool! I´m a fan!! Via Dezeen.

House in Piraeus

At the moment I´m on Easter holiday in beautiful France, but I just had to post this wonderful home in Piraeus, Greece. The 310 sqm neoclassical private residence was originally built for the French Councilor. In 2007 ASKarchitects co-founded by the Greek architect and Stella Konstantinidis, were asked to renovate the existing landmark while also introducing an new extension with a penthouse opening up the green roof. I love how the house is a mix of old and modern, and how the original architectural elements are enhanced by the renovation. The mixing of different floors, and the drops of color combined with white and grays really makes it charming and fun.

Prettypegs

This is so incredibly cool! Prettypegs is a brand new Swedish company, and they produce and sell awesome legs for IKEA sofas and beds. You can choose between different shapes and models, and then choose your color or color combo. They even come in wood (teak, ash, or painted) with a brass toe! All the pegs are custom made in a family owned factory in Tibro – Sweden. Delivery time is approximately 30 days, and they ship worldwide. I´m  gonna have to order a pair for my bed!

Birdstick storage

Birdstick is a lovely storage unit that resembles birdhouses placed in a tree, made by Danish designer Kristina Kjær Hansen. It consists of three boxes that can be placed freely on a pole, using distance pieces and dowels made of oak. The storage modules some in three different sizes to make room for different types of content. All the assembly is made without glue or screws, and can be rearranged and adjusted any time.

Magnus Anesund

I have shown some of Magnus Anesunds photographs before here and here, but a great thing is worth repeating… I keep falling for his images when I see them, without knowing they are all taken by the same person. I guess it´s a bit to do with the atmosphere and amazing colors in the images.
